The Husband

December 29, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Spent the night at my MIL (mother-in-law)’s house Christmas night and was warmly welcomed to the use of her bed while she stayed in the smaller room. While putting my daughter to sleep and watching her sleep later, I decide to look at what’s on her night stand and discovered this book by Dean Koontz called “The Husband“…..

I read a few pages and was glued from then on..I just finished it last night (yes, I ended up borrowing it so I can really enjoy it when I have more time) and I could say that I really liked it.

This is a suspense thriller and the story revolves around Mickey , the husband who had to ransom his wife Holly for $2 million. He makes his living as an owner and worker of a gardening business and so he is stunned on why the kidnappers chose him to be their victim. As the story unfolds, you can see how it evolves and gives life to the characters and reason to why Mickey had to do what he has to do. It is full of action, drama and suspense. This is a dark story yet it makes the reader like me mesmerized to reading it and be emphathetic with the character/s.

Here’s a link to Koontz website for more on his books.
